Walk With Us*

luminous blue moon

fills night sky,

clouds overshadow

it’s light,

winds howling

raises hairs,

eerie lights

appear to glow

among the trees,

silently hidden

away from sight,

one may watch

as spirits stroll

leisurely without

a care,

beware not

to be seen,

for you may

join them

*Note: Music to stroll by

I’ve also included this video it’s one of my favorites from Disney’s early days. It’s silly and fun! 👻 Enjoy 🌎✌🏻💙 Take care, be safe.

Paranoid *

Fears become amplified,

threatening her universe.

*Note: I often post about mental health, for the reason that it is an ever growing problem. It often is swept under the proverbial rug for many reasons #1 the stigma attached to it. We need to do better in regards of gaining more funding for mental health clinics.

From 2.3 to 4.4% of the general US population are estimated to have paranoid personality disorder. It is thought to be more common among men. There is some evidence of increased prevalence in families.

Paranoia is an instinct or thought process which is believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of delusion and irrationality. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself.

As always there is a musical song by NEONI, which is relatable to the topic. 🌎✌🏻💙 Take care, be safe.

Compartmentalize (acrostic)*

one files them away,

banishing them

bringing with it a world of hurt,

leaving one lost, seeking help.

Men tend to compartmentalize their feelings and thoughts about, well, pretty much everything. Women naturally process thoughts and feelings and integrate them into one cohesive “thing.” Men don’t integrate their thoughts and feelings. They tend to file everything away, each thought and emotion getting its own compartment where it sits until the man is ready to deal with it, or not which is many times the case.

Compartmentalization can be a great way of managing difficult parts of your life. But it can backfire too. Some people bottle up all emotions and fail to deal with any of them. Over time, these negative emotions can build up and lead to emotional distress.

However, if you feel vacillating between the two worlds is opening you up to disassociate in ways that are harmful to yourself or the people around you, I encourage you to seek professional help with a mental health professional.

PTSD (acrostic) *

*Note: The 3 minute video link is worth every second of your time.

So, does PTSD ever go away? No, but with effective evidence-based treatment, symptoms can be managed well and can remain dormant for years, even decades. But because the trauma that evokes the symptoms will never go away, there is a possibility for those symptoms to be “triggered” again in the future.

Musical Soliloquy (tanka)*

hands play sorrows song~

painful memories linger~

earth quakes smoke fills sky~

day’s devastation abounds~

ash’s rise wind scatters lost lives~

*Note: The term “casualties of war” has been around for a while and refers to the ugly downside of military victory, often those who just wish to live their daily lives in peace. I present this song titled River Of Sorrow played on a kokyū (胡弓) can also be cross referenced with Erhu (it is the only Japanese instrument played with a bow: for more information click the link https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kokyū) which the man is playing in the photo. As always 🌎 ✌🏻💙 may it someday prevail. Take care, be safe.
