*Note: The word Pietà finds its origins in the Italian word for “pity” and the Latin word for “piety”, giving it a sense of “compassion” and “devotion” altogether. Apparent from the depiction of Mary and her dead son in her lap, the compassion of the mother towards her dead son is quite obvious. My musical choice is I love Air by Bach & Pietà by Michelangelo. Yes, they are. Tears came to my eyes when I saw Jesus’ face and thought of how Mary must have felt when she watched her beloved Son die. It’s the most painful thing for a parent to go through. Thanks. You have yourself a blessed Easter too 🙂
